I am trying to find the windows software that comes on the CD for an Airport Extreme. (Attempting to help my Mom get her existing Airport Extreme w/ USB drive hooked up to her new windows laptop - the 802.11 connection is fine) Where the bloody **** is this software!? I've wasted hours on this support site looking for the basic install software. I've found the 5 year old airport admin software and lots of firmware updates. But I just want whatever comes on the CD so my mom will get the system tray icon that allows her to map the USB drive from the airport (the ability to manage the airport wouldn't hurt either). If you know where it is, please post a link. If apple only releases it on CD (which would be ridiculous) please put up a page that says so on your support site.
AirPort Utility 5.6.1 allows you to configure and manage the new AirPort Express with simultaneous dual band 802.11n. For the latest information on AirPort software, check Software Update in System Preferences or the following Apple website: Apple Support Downloads. Command and conquer not working on windows 7 32-bit. The Airport Extreme (or Express or Time Capsule) don't have any VPN functionalities. I mean, apart from opening a port to let you access a VPN in your home network. So, you will need some sort of server inside your home network. Mac OS has a VPN server but it doesn't have the most friendly interface (if it has an interface at all). The AirPort Extreme is a residential gateway combining the functions of a router, network switch, wireless access point and NAS as well as varied other functions, and one of Apple's former AirPort products. So, unlike the majority of routers on the market today which you can access via aWeb-based interface, the Apple AirPort Extreme is a router that can only bemanaged with Apple's AirPort Utility software.
